The Oregon Coast

Last week a co-worker and myself went to Eugene, OR for a Make Parenting A Pleasure training. I was lucky enough to go with Afton who used to live in Eugene. The coast is about an hour away and it was beautiful! Afton took me to a place called the Sea Lion Cave. It is the worlds largest natural cave and their were about 100 Sea Lions when we were there. It was completely AWESOME!! Here are some pictures that I took. I love the coast! Beware- These have got to be the stinkiest things on the face of the earth!!!!

Scout Attacks!

Just wait till the end. Scout will attack!!!!

This is the first clip I have of Miss Willa walking. She is a pro!

April flew by!

I can't believe that April is ending this month! It seems to have flown by! We all had something going on. The month started with Willa getting tubes in her ears. She had an ear infection off and on for 6 months. The doctor finally agreed with us that we needed to get the tubes. The experience was rough but she was a totally new kid when she woke up! Easter came and went. The kids weren't all that impressed. We did eggs but they didn't even eat their candy. It was a little mind blowing.
Hazel has been struggling with her independence. She is learning all of the alphabet and writing her name. She has grown larger than alot of the other kids in her preschool class. This seems to be confusing and is learning alot from the other kiddos at school. Let me know if you have any ideas on hitting and kicking. She seems to lose track of her thoughts and just gets physical instead of using words to explain how she feels. Tim has been working on Hazel with Baseball. She has a REALLY good arm on her and can hit with out a tee( she is better than me)!
Tim has started volunteering for the Youth Empowerment council. This is a group that runs out of my work, Mercer House, and it focus's on youth activities. At the end of March, Tim and I volunteered taking the YEC kiddos to Hogadon for A Drug, Alcohol, and Tobacco free event hosted by YEC. That was when Tim got to know the kiddos and was hooked. This was my first time skiing and it showed! My friend and co-worker, Debbie was kind enough to try teaching me and picking up off the ground MULTIPLE times.

I got a couple chances to go snowshoeing last month. It has been beautiful. My friend Jenny and I went one day that it was so foggy we couldn't see 10 feet in front of us. We had to cut the trip short when we were afraid of being ran over by the snowmobilers.
